Santa Barbara "Resort"
Ellie infiltrates the Rattler hideout inside an old resort. Blockmesh resort building architecture by Michael Yadao, who was also the background artist for the resort. The resort itself is inspired by the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort, which is close in proximity to where the game level takes place, and the Ritz-Carlton Bacara, which is several miles further along the coast. Arnaldo Licea took over the beach area near the end of production and made some final arrangements.
